Euphorbias are a large and diverse genus of flowering plants in the Spurge family. Many people will use the term "euphorbias" to refer to the entire Euphorbiaceae genus, which can include some highly toxic plants. Some euphorbias are used for home decor, such as poinsettias at Christmas or the crown of thorns plant, often cultivated as an ornamental plant. Others appear more like a cactus due to the way their physical characteristics have evolved. Plants share a unique characteristic of poisonous, milky , white latex-like sap that poses the highest risk to your pet.
